Book Publishing Software News: "World Bank Goes Live with Klopotek Rights & Royalties Software"
The World Bank benefits from using Klopotek Software

World Bank contracted with Klopotek to replace their legacy system ACS for production management, licensing & rights management with Klopotek’s Product Planning and Management System PPM.

The Editorial & Production and the Contracts, Rights & Royalties modules have streamlined many previously manual processes including rights invoicing and all departments within the Office of the Publisher have started using the central address database and the central product pool.

The project started in 2007 with a study based on Klopotek’s standardized business processes developed in cooperation with customers and prospects worldwide which reflect best practices in publishing. The study helped the World Bank to identify their needs, reorganize their business processes and define their requirements and goals for the project.

According to Carlos Rossel, Operations and Marketing Manager for the Office of the Publisher, “The central business partner and product pool database, which eliminates duplicate, and inconsistent data is just one of the efficiencies which the project has achieved for the World Bank.”

As the Project Director, Mr. Rossel was involved in every aspect of the project and commented that “from the very beginning it was clear that “Klopotek’s commitment to continuous product enhancements to meet their customer’s needs and keep up with the industry’s evolving standards would be a significant long term benefit to our operations. We have been very pleased with the knowledge and professionalism of the Klopotek team”.

Inge Wilmes, Klopotek North America’s Executive Vice-President Consulting supports Carlos Rossel’s view: “The World Bank staff has been a real pleasure to work with. There has been excellent cooperation and commitment on both sides – from the World Bank staff and management as well as from Klopotek’s North American team based in Parsippany, New Jersey which contributed to the success of this project and the beginning of what will be a long term relationship with The World Bank”
