Our annual International Customer Information Day took place on 18 September 2008 in Amsterdam. This year’s CID was once again exciting and informative and we were happy to welcome our Dutch and international customers from around the globe in the IJ-Toren Conference Center. Our customers who came from the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, Germany and the US used the opportunity to share how they use the Klopotek applications and keep up with the latest publishing trends. Klopotek wishes to thank especially Mr. Brian Green, Executive Director EDItEUR and the International ISBN Agency, London for this year’s keynote speech as well as all other guest speakers from the customer side.

The Dutch scientific publisher Brill, with offices in Leiden (The Netherlands) and Boston, Massachusetts (USA), and Klopotek, the leading supplier of standard software and services for publishers, have entered into an agreement with the goal to replace Brill’s current IT infrastructure with Klopotek’s high-end publishing software.

With more than 3 million members in Germany (end of 2007), Der Club Bertelsmann is one of the largest book and media clubs in the world. In a joint project between arvato systems, Der Club and Klopotek, the legacy system at Der Club was replaced with Klopotek’s PPM (Product Planning and Management system). The project was finished within 5 months and the first payments have been processed already.

Moody Publishers, the publishing arm of Moody Bible Institute, has implemented the Klopotek Product Planning & Management (PPM) module from Global Turnkey Systems (GTS) to improve process flow for acquisitions, production, royalties and rights management operations.

Having implemented Klopotek’s Product Planning and Management (PPM) module from Global Turnkey Systems (GTS), each of Moody Publishers’ four initial business reports now derives data entirely from PPM.

The implementation of Klopotek’s Product Planning and Management system (PPM) at CRC Press, part of the Taylor & Francis Group of companies and located in Boca Raton, Florida, has been completed successfully. This means that Taylor & Francis Group now works with PPM at all locations worldwide.

The Office of the Publisher of the World Bank based in Washington DC went live with Klopotek’s Contracts, Rights & Royalties software in March 2008 following the successful implementation of the Editorial & Production software in February.
