Klopotek is SEPA-compatible
On 14 February 2012, the European Parliament adopted the Single Euro Payments Area regulation (SEPA).
Important elements of SEPA are the IBAN (International Bank Account Number) and (for some time to come) the BIC (Bank Identifier Code).
"Parliament's negotiators sought to make the migration to SEPA standards easier for bank clients, by enabling banks to offer conversion services from national systems and to phase out the need to provide the Business Identifier Code (BIC) code (the IBAN international bank account number should suffice)."

The IBAN in particular can represent a challenge for software systems because, with 34 digits, it is significantly longer than a national account number and so may not be supported by the database in question.
Klopotek already provides complete support for both IBAN and BIC and communicates them to the accounting system via the software's interface. The IBAN is provided on statements.
