Klopotek User Group North America 2016

The Annual Klopotek North America User Group Meetings will be held this year November 6th to 8th in Orlando, Florida. Because the last day of the meeting will take place on Election Day in the US, all attendees have been reminded to vote via absentee ballot.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Porter Anderson from Publishing Perspectives who will discuss something he calls “The Wall of Content”.
This year we will have presentations on the new STREAM apps, demos from our partners (RSI, Pentaho, and Liferay) and workshops discussing how customers are using the features and functions of the latest release (V11).

The theme of this year’s event is” Klopotek Has You Covered” and the handout gifts include umbrellas and ponchos. This will be the 2nd year we have asked customers to bring sample products so others can see what type of offerings they have in the marketplace.

As in the past Klopotek, will have a full complement of staff from both the US and Europe to network with our customers and participate in the demos.
We at Klopotek are looking forward to our annual user group meeting and are anxious to see the election results.

Klopotek User Group North America 2015

The 2015 Klopotek User Group Meetings took place on October 26 and 27. The meetings returned to Philadelphia for a 2nd year and also to the same venue, The Top of the Tower (the Verizon Building). This year’s cocktail party on October 25 was on the terrace roof of the Phoenix Condominium building.

Although the night was a bit chilly, everyone enjoyed the views of downtown Philadelphia.

The motto of this year’s meeting was how to measure success and one of the handouts was a tape measure with a light and radio. After a welcome by User Group President, George Ricciardi, our CEO, Uli Klopotek, opened the meetings with a “State of the Company” overview.  The 2015 agenda included STREAM and Pentaho presentations, which were very positively received by the audience. Our Keynote Speaker was the new executive director of BISG, Mark Kuyper. Other guest speakers included Greg and Cindy Aden from NetRead and Barry Bealer from Really Strategies Inc. (RSI).

One new feature of the 2015 meetings was a table where our customers brought sample products and marketing items so others could gain knowledge of the types of products offered.

The meeting dinner was held at Positano Restaurant in the historical district. On Tuesday afternoon, the meetings ended with the usual panel discussion and a raffle of the marketing items and leftover wines from the cocktail party. For 2016 the meetings will return to Orlando.

The meeting was deemed very successful by all parties and was held at the top of the Verizon building with spectacular views of the city.

Your time and input are appreciated. We recognize the dedicated work to fulfill on our requests from last year. The group is encouraged with these changes and contributions that will extend our use of the system and allow us to communicate and collaborate even more.”

The meetings kicked off with a cocktail party hosted by Klopotek at the poolside bar at the Holiday Inn Buena Vista. All attendees were asked to wear a strange or weird hat as part of a contest and most did. Jai Putrevu (Klopotek North America) won the contest wearing an Egyptian Pharaoh headgear.
