For our office in Berlin we're looking for an:

IT System Administrator 
with a focus on IT System Integration (m/f/d)


Your tasks: 

  • Assistance in running, enhancing and renewing the current infrastructure: Windows and Linux servers at 6 locations in 4 countries

  • Installation and maintenance of Oracle database servers

  • Planning & implementation of secure communication services for our customers (firewalls, load balancers, VPN connections, etc.)

  • Creation, installation & monitoring of services for exchanging data with our customers (FTP, SFTP, FTPS, WebDAV, S3, Nextcloud)

  • Planning and accepting responsibility for completing IT projects

  • You'll be part of a global team, of our 2nd-level support colleagues, and the support team that is in charge of handling urgent issues

As our systems need to be monitored and – in case of an issue – worked on at all times, you should be open to work flexibly and – once or twice a month – be OK with being called in case of a serious issue (not just during normal working hours but also , e.g., late at night),

This should be part of your skill set & education:  

  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge & experience

  • In-depth knowledge in installing, running, monitoring, optimizing and updating Oracle databases

  • Experience in administrating Linux servers

  • Expert knowledge in the areas of network technology, DNS, firewalls, routing, VPN & WiFi

  • A good understanding of software architectures and related requirements of operating systems (Windows / Linux)

  • A clear & analytical way of thinking & working; you should be a communicative & flexible person

  • Good knowledge of German and English (C1)
